- 1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract (if using).
- Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
- Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into a 9×9-inch or 8×8-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Topping
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter (or coconut oil) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly.
Step 3: Chill & Slice
- Refrigerate the bars for 1-2 hours or until the chocolate is fully set.
- Once firm, remove from the pan and cut into squares using a sharp, warm knife to prevent cracking.
